The writing of James J. Slattery and his pseudonym, J.S. McInroy

New Work: One novel, one Short Story

Two weeks ago I finished the latest JS McInroy novel tentatively titled Grace and a James Slattery short story as of yesterday entitled Tommy. Both are undergoing thorough proofreading and editing. I hope to have the story ready by October and Grace by January 2016. I have been heavily influenced by many authors and styles over the course of my writing career not to mention my life itself. Among these are Leo Tolstoy, T.S. Eliot, and Lao Tsu, Magical Realism, the Bible and the Koran. The newcomer to the list is Quantum Physics which adds a modern day affirmation to Hamlet’s words:

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
Hamlet (1.5.167-8), Hamlet to Horatio

I have dedicated myself and my writing to exploring the great mystery of this life we lead and the reality we inhabit. Nothing is more intriguing than investigating all the possibilities and probabilities of a universe whose distant and immediate actions can be so spooky that even Einstein was confounded.
